Celebrating the Remarkable Mothers in My Life

Hey there! It’s Mother’s Day, and I wanted to give a shoutout to some amazing women who mean the world to me. These ladies have made me who I am today, and I couldn’t be more grateful.

First up, let’s talk about my mom, Theresa Andrews. She was just 16 when I came into the world. Mom had a love for the great outdoors—fishing, camping, you name it. She taught us all the important stuff, like how to reel in a big catch, cook up some delicious trout, and even strum a few chords on the guitar. But more than that, she was always there for me, cheering me on and helping me become the person I am today. Before she passed, we had the chance to spend some quality time together in Alaska, and it was a trip I’ll never forget.

My mother-in-law Jodi… She herself was a force to be reckoned with! It is no wonder why Kat is such a hard worker; between her mom and her dad, it’s enviable. Jodi ran her own business and did it well for many years. When we needed help running ours, she was there! Like Kat, she always does her best to be there for all of her children. Love ya, maw!

My Wife Katherine Andrews. Wow. This woman is incredible! First and foremost, she puts up with me, but seriously, being a stepmom is not always easy and Kat did everything she could at all times to show the kids love, discipline, and reward. She loves to craft. Be it repurposing old pallets or handcrafting the kids’ Halloween costumes each year, she is at her happiest when making something. Making the Halloween costumes is a tradition she learned from her mom, by the way! We met in 1999 and married in 2002. I had 2 kids, she had 1, and together, we made 2 more! Yes, 5 kids, and she was and is an amazing mom and to this day, loves and cherishes her time with them.

And then there’s my daughter, Angelyn Andrews, who has shown me the true meaning of resilience and determination. Despite facing personal challenges, Angelyn’s unwavering commitment to her children’s well-being is nothing short of extraordinary. Her journey to recovery and her unwavering dedication to motherhood are a testament to her strength and character and should be celebrated.

To all the mothers reading this, From my sister-in-law Kelly, my daughter-in-law Sydney and any other moms I am connected to, I want to extend my deepest gratitude and admiration. Whether you’re navigating the joys and challenges of motherhood or simply showing up for your loved ones each day, your love and sacrifices do not go unnoticed. You are the unsung heroes, the pillars of strength in our lives, and today, we celebrate you.

Happy Mother’s Day to each and every one of you. May your day be filled with love, laughter, and cherished moments with your loved ones. You are appreciated, you are loved, and you are worthy of all the recognition in the world.
